The increased focus and attention given to education and educational programmes in recent decades has been a step in the right direction. Education is about the transfer of knowledge and skills and these are vital in order for a child or teenager to become an active and contributing member of society.

The fact that children are allowed to leave school before they have fully matured is futile enough, but to not celebrate the education and academic achievements of those who choose to study and further their education, would be even worse. We encourage children to make decisions for themselves and so we must live with them.

We must celebrate every achievement no matter how large or small. Whether it is a graduation from primary school or university, a simple gift like graduation ornaments can serve to mark the occasion beautifully.

Graduations are a little bit like birthdays, they are a reason to celebrate the work of a loved one and it is a celebration that can bring the whole family together. University graduations for example are a real labour of love.

For those graduating, you have to sit in a boiling hot robe, in a room that is never adequately ventilated waiting for your moment. For the family, you have to sit for at least two or three hours waiting to see your loved one get capped.
